I’m working on a new post, but my air conditioning has been broken for 10 days so it’s eleventy billion degrees in my condo and I can’t concentrate. Plus my computers keep threatening to overheat if I don’t let them rest quietly. So, I will try to get it posted tomorrow from my blessedly air conditioned office. Or else on Friday after my savior Jose replaces the motor and I’m sitting under a stream of cold air again.
Oh yeah, and I’m going to Mid-Ohio! Seriously can’t wait! Hope to see lots of you there!
And maybe a little withdrawal…
Where to start? By now you’ve read a million other post-race articles analyzing the race and drivers and the current state of IndyCar, IMS, and the Indy 500. People have given their opinions on anything and everything from the new road course race, the new concessions, the new tenderloins, the new qualifying format, Carb Day and its craziness, concerts at the track, Legends Day, this year’s rookies, the red flag after Townsend Bell’s crash, Ryden Hunter-Reay, and a million other topics. I’m not here to write about those things, though a few may get a mention.
I arrived at IMS yesterday and it’s been an awesome whirlwind of activity, drivers, and friends since I set foot inside the track. Continue reading
And just like that, I look up and it’s been 15 days since I last posted. Shame on me! Being busy is not an excuse, but I have been insanely busy this month. While it’s been a lot of fun, the unfortunate side effect of being so busy is I haven’t had a chance to watch a lot of IndyCar.
Hello again everyone! I thought I’d try something new for today’s race. I’m going to blog my thoughts and reactions as I watch the race. I make no apologies for having drivers who I like and drivers who I don’t like, so don’t expect me to be objective. You’re free to disagree, as long as you remain respectful. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
The Verizon IndyCar Series is back! And what a weekend it’s been already!! For various reasons (a movie, shopping, a 7-mile run in the rain), today’s round of qualifying was the first chance I had to follow the action down in St. Petersburg. Kudos to IndyCar for deciding to wait it out and hold a full qualifying session. It was definitely worth the wait!
